Ryba’s Frozen Pierogi

Hi! I’m Ned. As a member of a large Polish-American family, I learned early on that tradition and food come hand in hand. My mom, Christine Ryba, spent countless hours in the kitchen perfecting her family’s recipes and making sure we all knew who the star of each holiday feast was going to be. On Fat Tuesday, it’s the perfectly plump, jelly-filled paczki. For Easter brunch - steaming kielbasa served with bowls of white barszcz. The Christmas Eve feast featured my absolute favorite star of them all - pierogi. Buttery dumplings simply topped with caramelized onions and sour cream are, in my mind, a perfect recipe for honest, old-time flavor.

When I became a chef, my dream was to find my own way of sharing this love of food and tradition with everyone - just as my mom did for me.

I started spending my free-time assembling hundreds of pierogi to sell on cold nights at a local brewery with my company Gold Cart. The overwhelming support I received from family, friends, and my entire community of Richmond, Virginia is what ultimately turned that dream into a reality. For me, that dream is Ryba’s!

So, raise a glass and a fat stack of Ryba’s pierogi - na Zdrowie! (Nah zdrov-ee-yeh) Cheers!
