Coming from an agricultural family who always took pride in their vegetable gardens, Jonathan’s “green thumb” was nurtured from an early age. A love of vegetable gardening, history, and food inspired Jonathan Bremer to return to these roots and, with the support of his family, found Liberty Tree Farm in 2015. The Bremer family grows vegetables, herbs, and flowers naturally and without the use of synthetic herbicides or pesticides. Surrounding a home built in the 1730’s in eastern Louisa County, the farm gets the name Liberty Tree from an ancient red cedar towering above the house. In addition to fresh produce the farm adds value and extends its harvest by producing a variety of shelf stable and frozen products.
