Chaotic Good Tempeh

Chaotic Good Tempeh is a new business in town bringing unprocessed, vegan, gluten free protein to the table. Tempeh is a plant-based protein packed with nutrients, probiotics and pre-biotic fiber; and  unlike other plant-based proteins on the market, there are no mysterious binding agents and fillers. It’s made using simple ingredients and centuries old fermentation techniques first developed in Indonesia. It utilizes the mycellium of the fungus Rhizopus oligosporous to ferment infinite permutations of beans, grains and seeds. Traditionally it is made with soy bean, but CG likes to go outside the box and use beans such as red, black, northern white and chickpea. The beans are seasoned before the fermentation begins giving the finished product a truly unique flavor. There’s no need to marinade unless you want to!

We currently offer four flavors: Black Bean Carnitas, Adzuki 5-Spice, White Bean Italian and Plain Chickpea

This is an exciting and healthy product that is very fun to experiment with. It’s easy to prepare and is excellent in salads, sandwiches, stews, sauces, dumplings, tacos, stir- fries, pizza and more!
